Congrats Steve Stierwalt
August 8, 2016 by: Lesley Gooding

Steve Stierwalt has been elected as the President of the Association of Illinois Soil and Water Conservation Districts.  Steve ran for the position with conservation at the “top of mind”, concerning the Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy. Stierwalt mentioned that these practices and efforts are very important to customers in the agricultural industry and he would like to connect with others by doing/leading the mission by protecting resources. Stierwalt asked that all farmers and landowners stop and think of the 4R’s and how they can benefit their farms and the land. Stierwalt wants to recognize farmers for their hard work and all they have done to “protect resources”.

“Every producer can do something to change”, said Stierwalt referring to the Best Management Practices, 4R’s and Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy. With help by all, we can prevent further regulation on how we produce food, fiber and fuel.

If you see Steve Stierwalt please join us in recognizing him on this great achievement.
