CCFB Foundation Celebrates Scholars

Last week the CCFB Foundation awarded over $61,000 in scholarships to 44 Champaign County students.  Scholarship recipients gathered Friday, May 25th to meet thank their scholarship donors for the financial support and encouragement to succeed in college. 

The CCFB Foundation Board of Directors and staff congratulation all of our scholarship recipients and thank our donors for making such an impact on these young leaders.

Jim and Barb Esworthy presented the Jennifer and Jackie Esworthy Memorial Scholarship to Allison Place.  Place is a 2018 graduate of Saint Joseph-Ogden High School and will be attending the University of Illinois.

Jacob Felsman, a 2018 graduate of Unity High School received the Thomas Hausman Memorial Scholarship from Nancy Hausman. Felsman will being his college career at the University of Illinois this fall.

Mahomet-Seymour High School graduate Jenna Straub will attend Murray State University this fall.  Her scholarship is supported by the Mahomet Lions Club.  This is the first year the Mahomet Lions Club has supported a Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship.  Pictured with Jenna are Cory Mitchell (left) and Ben Dow(right), members of the Mahomet Lions Club.

The Gifford State Bank has been a longtime supporter of our scholarship program.  Former recipient Tanna Suits was on hand to present this year’s Gifford State Bank scholarship to Kinze Ehmen. Congratulations, Kinze!
