APPLICATION

   The dates are set and final plans are being made for the third annual CCFB Leadership Academy to be held this summer at Champaign County Farm Bureau.  Beginning Wednesday, August 1, participants will have an opportunity to hone their public speaking skills, hear from industry professionals, and sharpen their leadership potential in each of the five sessions held throughout the month of August.

   Dates for the 5-week series include August 1, 6, 13, 20 and 27.  All sessions are evening dinner meetings with the exception of Monday, August 20, when participants will meet for a full day that begins at 1 p.m. and includes an etiquette training dinner at 6 p.m. that evening.

   Back by popular demand discussing the Essence of Leadership in session one will be Thomas Ramage, President of Parkland College.  Ramage will give participants the basics as they prepare for speeches and media interviews in an effort to develop their full potential as an agricultural advocate.
