The Champaign County Farm Bureau 100th year anniversary celebration will soon be in full swing!  The organization’s first unique event of 2012 will be a Trivia Night taking place on Saturday, March 3.  Trivia Night will bring together teams of eight people attempting to outsmart other teams in subjects of trivial knowledge. 

Trivia categories may include agriculture, sports, music, television, geography, etc.  A special category highlighting Champaign County Farm Bureau History will also be part of the competition.   Not sure you can match wits with some of Champaign County’s finest?  Polish up on your history facts by reading the book “Champaign County Farm Bureau 100^th Anniversary,” by Harold Guither, available for $10 at the Champaign County Farm Bureau office.

The Trivia Night committee and chairmen, Brad Zwilling and Eric Suits, have been working overtime to bring Trivia Night participants a fun, unique event. Brad Zwilling, co-chair said “Trivia Night is a way to get Farm Bureau members and agribusiness together to have fun and celebrate the Farm Bureau’s 100^th Anniversary.”  The fun is taking place at the Champaign Urbana Elks Lodge located just off Route 45 in Savoy, IL.  The festivities begin with a meal at 6 p.m., the trivia portion of the evening will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Trivia Night will conclude with a social hour immediately following trivia and lasting until 11 p.m.

It is time to start recruiting your teammates!  Teams can be comprised of friends, neighbors, co-workers; anyone with some worthless knowledge is welcome to join in the competition.  Prizes will be awarded to the 1^st place team overall and to the winning team of each round of trivia.  Does the thought of trivia questions have you shaking in your boots? No problem!  Mulligans will be for sale at the event in case you get stumped at some point during the competition.
